Do you see Brigadoon?

Standard

Whilst I was training at the gym this afternoon, there was a song playing that I haven’t heard for years – “The Whole of the Moon” by the Waterboys.

There was a line just before the chorus that really stuck in my mind,

“I saw the rain dirty valley, you saw Brigadoon.”

When times are tough, what do you see?

    Charlie,

Your post caught my eye as the name of the complex I live in is called Brigadoon. After I investigated, I thought, I better write a response to that one. When times are tough for me, I used to see only the tough times that surrounded me. Now I am learning to see only what I want in my minds eye. I see only the good times, because the good times are coming, they always come. As a result the tough times seem to disappear.

    • What a great name for somewhere to live! You are a very positive guy Corey and therefore your mental attitude doesn’t surprise me in the slightest. All the very best to you and to your success. Charlie

    Hi Charlie,

Song lines are great triggers and one of my personal favourite links to the Unconscious (as you may recall!) What a great post – hugely provocative and evocative – sometimes little can be very big!!

    Take care, Peter

    • You are right Peter. If we keep our minds open, there are clues and triggers to unlock a myriad of secrets within our unconscious. When we allow ourselves to go with the flow it can be hugely enlightening. Thanks for all your contributions so far. I hope all is well with you. Best Charlie
