Internal warfare…

Standard

Have you ever stopped yourself from doing something because of a nagging voice in your head? At the time, this can seem like the voice of reason but if that is the case how can it make us feel so empty?

The truth is that on many occasions this voice is simply fear. It’s the voice that prevents you from going to that party on your own, from going to University as a mature student or maybe from going for that promotion because you are ‘under-qualified’.

It can be a good exercise to shine a light on this voice and work out what its true intentions are. Is it saving you from danger or simply attempting to save face?

The voice will always be there but once you know its intentions you are in a better position to know when it needs to be ignored.
